It's a Game Boy game! Making a Game Boy game is pretty tough, it's not easy to do things that would be simple in a sane game engine. But for some reason, I had the resilience to finish it in GB Studio after trying every few years to prototype it in Unity and Godot, only to give up. There was something about having the physical game in my hand, testing it on real Game Boys, that made it feel real. That, and the withered Game Boy matches the quaint game I'm trying to make. Trying to do everything you want within the limitations is a fun challenge, it's amazing when something actually works. Try for yourself, it's totally free. https://www.gbstudio.dev/
