Adventure (1980) fangame

Ancient
I've been itching to do some game development lately but I'm trying to be good and stay focused on studying and work. The urges took over the other day though and I decided to make something quick and easy to get it out of my system.

The game turned out to be quite difficult in the end, but I think that fits when looking at how janky and unforgiving old video games could be. I also think it captured enough of the essence of the original game that I'm happy with it, but I would have loved to spend more time developing something more intricate and intentional.

For anyone into old-school games I'd recommend you give this a try! I've intentionally explained very little about the game though. You'll have to put some proper effort and adventuring in if you want to beat it. Good luck, and I hope you have fun! Thoughts and feedback are most welcome! (Even if you don't play it)

First I thought "Hey, this is a pretty neat and relaxing game", then the robot showed up and it turned into a horror show!
Very lovely, had fun playing it!

I had a delightful time with it! I've never played Adventure and the only thing I know about it is Evil Otto, but I assume that this is a faithful recreation, the text for the numbers is a nice touch, reminds me of Intellivision.

It's not a 1:1 recreation, just a fangame with most of the same ideas/concepts. It's manifested a fair bit differently. Also Evil Otto is from Berzerk, but I guess that plays pretty similarly Confused
