Story I'm writing

Experimental
I'm writing a story, and I wanted to know what you guys think of it

In 1960, a group of scientists working on the MKUltra project created a new project called the Genesis Project. This project aimed to develop a superspy for the CIA by combining human and animal DNA. The project's experiments would take place in Area 51. Initially, they failed to produce a successful result, and 12 Adams were born, but they all died after birth. However, in 2008, Adam 13 was born - the first Adam who didn't die after birth. His powers include super strength, super speed, eagle vision, super agility, super senses, and more. Dr. Cohen, the project's director, took on the role of a mother figure for Adam, and he was trained in hand-to-hand combat, handling guns, piloting vehicles, and espionage. When Adam turned 18, he was supervised by Agent Gilardi, who was the CIA's best agent. Now, Adam and his allies fight US enemies across the world.

Sounds like a good premise for a darker tone of superhero story!
Curious to hear what style of storytelling you'd want to use, where you'd start the reader off, what kind of topics you'd be aiming to tackle/make commentary on with the work and stuff like that.
I can't tell what you're aiming for with the story, but I'm thinking the premise carries potential for questioning what it really is to be human, what our relationship with animals is / could be, and some common/relatable human experiences and values could be explored in a way that blurs it all together.

I'm going for a more Metal Gear Solid style story, Spy thriller and all that, and the topics are philosophical and geopolitical, the negative impacts that ideology has on people, and how governments manipulate their own soldiers, and things like that, what do you think?

Just do it bro, writing is about execution, not ideas(tho, your idea does sound cool, so I imagine that's a plus)

So I do like the premise of turning a story like this into an MGS style storyline, and I know that people really don't like the 'this reminds me of x' posts about art but I want to share a specific example of what this reminded me of so as to offer some signposting about where this type of story has gone before and whether to move towards or away from it

So when Alan Moore took over the British Miracleman comics in 82, one of the changes he made was with this character Union Jack, who in the story was a superpowered individual who, through a host of mind-altering experimentation was left unhinged and functionally a living cudgel for the British empire. He lives in a delusional reality where everything plays out like it's the Golden Age comics and he has these allies who are actually just his handlers who don't even like him. Again, this may not be where you're trying to go with it but it was my most immediate thought reading the premise

That's not the direction I want to go but that sounds really interesting

I think you need to start writing. Keen to see what you make!  Smile

You seem to be seeking a lot of outside validation. Just go nuts and do what you like man. Who cares what anyone thinks? Make something you think is great and you can't go wrong. Feel free to blog about your experience and share it as you go if that's what you want.
