Those look sensational!
Most of what I cook doesn't have much presentation value, but next time I make something I'll post it Wink

Niiiiiiice, wouldn't mind trying one of those!Yum
I haven't really tried baking/cooking something special in a very long time, I've gotten addicted to a chili recipe and now it's all I make. Shy
I don't have a lot of visitors, so there's rarely a reason to do something special.
However, I should just make something special for myself sometime, I deserve it! Blush

food kinda tastes better when you made it, even if it's not actually that good, cuz it does feel rewarding and is probably better than just microwaving a shit

Definitely happens LOL. I think most people have a lower standard of what they'll enjoy eating if it was free/cheap. That's definitely me, and it also makes those moments where if you do end up making excellent food, the joy and satisfaction is like nothing else.

Jackpot
That's one of the reasons I'm addicted to my chili recipe, it doesn't just taste good it's also cheap as fuuuuuuck.
I went full Dutchman on it.
I buy big fucking bags of rice from the toko, buy big bags of spices from that place too, always cook for four days,.
I'm very satisfied with what I spend on groceries, I could make minimum wage and still live like a fucking king.
Cool
There's people who are even more frugal than me out there, who visit multiple supermarkets and are on top of every deal, but that's too much of a hassle for me.
That said, I totally recommend looking into frugality regardless of your financial situation. It makes you richer while still having the same money!
That's powerful shit!
Cool  Thumb Up

I'm huge into making curries and lately I've been refining a custom recipe for Mango Chicken. I'm very happy with where it's at now, and next week I'm gonna start working on a vegetarian Green Curry. These things usually take me a few weeks and multiple attempts to really get perfect, so I feel pretty proud of each one I get under my belt. Will post more once they're good enough.

Something we made /checks date/ ...8 years ago, OLD...  Sleepy

It's quarkcake (Dutch thing, sort of cheesecake) inside jelly. We had these ice cube ship shapes. Put those upside down in the jelly filled bowls to create a ship shaped hole. Then filled it with different colored quarkcake > black first for the pipes of the ship, etc.

Quarkcake taste was peach I think. Not necessarily the best tasting thing, but it looked cool!
