How are things with everyone?
Big Grin
Here's a thread to talk about mundane stuff in life, things that you don't feel like making your own thread about, but still feel like sharing.
Had a nice day? Had a bad day?
Nice week? Bad week? Mediocre month?
Stepped into dogshit last year?

Let us know!

I'll start:
It's hot as fuck around here!
I'm fucking melting.
I recently started a new project, going back to my roots and just fully improvise something.
Only animate things I want to animate, no fancy story, no need for external approval, whudever.
Had a date with a girl a few weeks ago, she didn't show up, she didn't message why.
I blocked her, her loss, ain't got time for that, ain't gonna let that get me down.
And errrr.. that's it for now I guess!

It's been very rainy
every day is LOUD rain and LOUD lightning and LOUD wind

but on the plus side it keeps the house cool
theres been horrible noises in my left ear that I know are being caused by either my sinuses, my gums, or my fucked up teeth but none of the doctors care

last night i got to hang out with friends for the first time in months
i drank a Mike's Hard Green Apple and was surprised to find myself fairly buzzed after two of them, they sure dont taste like liquor
they taste like you're drinking a green jolly rancher candy

That sounds awesome! You should do some light blogging about it. I'd love to see what you make and read your thoughts about the process. I imagine it could get unexpectedly deep.

As for me, life is up and down. There have been a lot of big developments/changes. It's good stuff, but I'm honestly feeling overwhelmed by it, and lately I've been spending more time than I'm comfortable with faffing about being unproductive and just trying to chill out.

I'm feeling very confident that my latest artistic pursuit is going really well, but balancing the rest of life with working on that is a constant challenge I'm sure most of us are familiar with.

The weather's good here. Cold but not too cold.

Hope everyone's havin a nice day!

I've tried blogging about projects that I've been working on before, but it always fell apart.
Either I didn't feel like updating, or the project fell apart and I hated having to explain why, or whudever.
However, I might make a thread here with some sketches and animation snippets of the project if I'm more confident in finishing it.
I tend to make a lot of things and not finish em, it's just how my creative process works.
People have been frustrated about it before, but ehhhhhhh.
I also don't like getting too much commentary from strangers while I'm still busy with it, lol.

I think we've all been there, take it easy and I'm sure things will turn out fine!
Big Grin Thumb Up

As for my day today:
I finally finished replying to all the e-mails and messages I had to reply to.
I always tend to procrastinate on those.

Got a new haircut! I always go to the barber about twice a year.
When my hair is long I keep a goatee and look like a homeless wizard, and when I get it cut I shave my face as well and look like an insurance salesman.
I'm thinking about maybe keeping a mustache, so I look like Pablo Escobar when my hair is short, and Ron Jeremy when my hair is long.

Next to that I'm just workin' on my new animation project, and seeing where that goes!
Blessings of Marduk, young bull of the sun, upon you all!

Im chilling in my room drinking a pipeline punch monster drink, I don't usually drink them but I decided to spoil myself today.

I discovered this app recently called Radio Garden which allows you to tune into literally any radio station that pretty much exists around the world, pretty cool stuff if you like to get a feel for whatever is going on in a particular place at any given time.

I tuned into a NYC station which plays coast 2 coast am. A show which discusses supernatural activity of all kinds, can be quite fascinating at times..

I kinda miss those old radio shows where people call in with their experiences, opinions and thoughts etc.. and everybody is discussing random topics late into the night with very little music intermission.

These days it all just seems to be continuous music playing and very little meaningful human discussion... oh well..

Anyways, im chipping away at a new animation,  it's early days right now, I've only completed two scenes so far and it seems to be going well.

This one will be improvised for the most part if not completely, im keeping it loose at the moment so I can incorporate depth into it on the fly without it becoming too random to the point it makes no sense..

Other than that, im doing pretty good, its been scorching in the UK recently 32 degrees, personally im a cold rainy weather type of guy, so I don't overly enjoy these kinds of hot seasons.. thankfully it doesn't last long!

I should probably make the most of it and "get out there " .. im thinking about buying one of these high tech smart watches and do this 10k steps thing that everyone is raging about these days.. maybe I can take my camera and take a few shots to give my walks a bit more appeal and motivation.

Oh yeah and i bought this...

I'm doing good, in Spain currently so it is very very hot.

I've finished this year with all my marks, and thus, I enter my last year of studies before the diploma.
It feels a bit weird to be the ""Senior"" with all the new Freshman.

Other than that, I've been trying my hands on a few projects, it feels good. Oh, I'm also listening to Fallout New Vegas musics. I love the Mojave hehe.

Since I'm the delegate of my class and the president of my section (Science and Technology), it falls upon me to prepare and create a ceremony for graduation. (we are a recent new field, the school was created like 7 years ago)

At first, as always, research ! Canadian and Quebec engineering schools have some pretty good ceremonies. Currently, I'm going for something like this.

A Waterman pen, you receive it, and with it, you sign your diploma.
Something, a small piece of cold steel, we will forge for the students. Not a ring, we want to be original. So either a bracelet, a necklace or something to put on the suit/shirt.
Then, of course, there is the Oath you have to take. I have to write one, and it is quite stressful. It needs to be complete, respectable, traditional even, and yet not be pompous at the same time. So, it needs to be short, efficient, and yet philosophical and ethical, especially considering how important our roles are.

Most students will have dozens under their supervision, and tens of thousands of households depend on us. No electricity, no industry, no modern homes, no transport, etc.
Hell, between the nuclear ones, the production lines, the Distribution specialist, and the regular tech we range from a bit of responsibility to more than a minister !

So yeah, a lot going on, but it is quite chill. I wish you all readers a fine day. See you soon ^^

Eyyyy congratulations on passing this year!
Good luck with organizing the ceremony!
I can only imagine how hot it must be in Spain, the temperature is already insane here in the Netherlands.

Here's a little life update:
It's birthday season, it was sister's birthday last week, my mom's birthday is around the corner, and after that is my own birthday, and then my brother in law's.
I've been thinking about maybe making a birthday thread, one in which we can congratulate forum members with their birthdays.
Might be a nice idea!

I still have no idea what I want to do for my birthday, I've experienced a lot of cool things recently and I don't need much new stuff.

Next to all the birthday business I've been animating a whole lot.
I really got back in touch with what I love about animating to begin with, for that reason alone I got quite some faith in this project.
I won't share anything yet, simply because sharing things too early is bad luck!
However, what's there so far is dope as hell.
Angel

Sometimes I'm refreshing this forum hoping for new activity, but then I realize that that might be what everyone else is doing instead of posting!
Like everyone else is waiting for someone else to do something, lol.
Of course, it's my responsibility as the glorious benevolent leader of this dump to take charge and make sure this place is still dope!
Cool
I might promote this forum some more, but I still have to think about how and what.
Also, I've been so busy with animating and birthdays, that I haven't posted as much as I should.
Anyways, I hope everyone's having a great summer!
Wink
